The Pilgrims meet each Friday in Term Time from 1.30 pm until 3 pm in the St. James Community Centre, on High Street (opposite the Church).
They are open to all pre school children (under 5), no matter how young,to help carers meet with other carers, while the children enjoy playing, and learning to mix with other children. Meanwhile the carers enjoy a well earned rest and chat. The sessions finish with a sing, a prayer, and then a cup of tea (for the carers), juice and a snack for the children.
The Little Pilgrims are an initiative of the Mothers Union (see below), organised & led by them.

Children from the age of 5 to 16 are welcome to our Junior Childrens Church.
It meets in the Community Centre each Sunday in School Term time from 10 am to 11am.
We endeavour to teach (in an informal way) all aspects of Christian living.
The Children come overto Church to join in with the Communion service, at the distribution.
Once a month they deliver a presentation at the end of the Parish Eucharist, and once a term assist in the service as sidesmen, reading the lesons and reading the Prayers.
As they get older the Children are encouraged to be Confirmed, to join the Choir, Bell Ringers and Youth @ St. James and to serve at the Altar. (For the Choir see the 'About Us' page)
